Most of these use existing State Badges as their inspiration. The only exceptions are Tasmania that uses current Tasman Government Logo and Victoria, that uses three differently colored southern crosses instead.
All flags follow the same pattern with southern cross constellation at the hoist and state symbol on the fly.
Most of existing state symbols are distinctive enough, have been associated with the state for a long time and look good in this modernized design.
Tasmanian badge looked too plain on its own, so I opted to swap it with current government logo.
Since Victorian state badge is Southern Cross, placing two nearly identical design side by side would be redundant. Instead, I opted to place three differently colored southern crosses each in different color scheme. Inspired by Warhol style art, left most are the traditional colors of the southern cross, middle is in colors of Aussie National Sports Teams (yellow and green), and right most is black with orange starts inspired by the land.
